Do not let anyone tell you you cannot have hip weight loss. You can lose the weight in your hips, just not only your hips. Weight loss is not for one spot or the other it is for your entire body and depending on how much you have to lose could take some time. You must be dedicated and keep your motivation level high until you reach your intended goal weight.

Along with exercise, diet is an important factor in weight loss. This might seem like one of those ‘DUH’ moments but if you do not watch what you put in your mouth and how much of it you put in your mouth, when you want to lose weight, it will not matter how much exercise you do you will not win the weight loss game.

If you do manage to lose a little weight, you will only put it, plus some more, right back on when your ‘diet’ is over. So, let me say it again, diet along with exercise is important when you want to lose weight.

Losing weight really is simple. Oh sure, it may take a while but you did not put the weight on in one day, you will not take it off in one day either. All you need to do every single day is burn more calories than you take in. Do you know how many calories you need to burn in one week to lose one pound of fat? You need to burn 3500 calories in one week to lose one pound of fat. That is five hundred calories a day.

Does this mean that to get hip weight loss you need to find some exercise to burn five hundred calories a day during your workout? No, it doesn’t. What needs to happen so your body starts to work for you instead of against you is, you need to increase your metabolism. How do you do that? You get regular exercise everyday and build up some muscle and eat several (at least five) small meals a day of low fat, low carb, high protein and drink lots of water. The more water you drink the more your body will want and soon you will find that drinking water is as easy as 1, 2, 3.

Coaxing your metabolism to work for you is easy, too. When you eat all those small meals you keep your metabolism busy burning up what you have eaten. When it runs out of immediate fuel, your metabolism will not automatically shut off. It needs more to burn. So where does it find more to burn? Your fat stores, that’s where.

Then three hours later you give it more immediate fuel and it speeds up to burn off what you just fed it. This is the cycle and if you are doing some sort of exercise right along with keeping your metabolism stoked, you are doing all you can every minute of everyday to get that hip weight loss you have always wanted.
